Otumfuo Nana Sir Osei Tutu Agyeman Prempeh II was the 14th Asantehene, reigning over the Ashanti Kingdom from 1931 until his death in 1970.

Prempeh II successfully negotiated the British recognition and formal restoration of the Ashanti Confederacy in 1935, healing deep wounds inflicted during the colonial wars.

A visionary patron of modern learning, he donated vast royal lands to establish the Kumasi College of Technology (now Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology) and Prempeh College, transforming Kumasi into a premier educational hub.
