2. Separation of Concerns (Historical vs. Community)
To ensure archival rigor while offering families a warm sanctuary, PastLegacies enforces a strict taxonomic separation:
- Historical & Public Figures: Sourced from recognized public institutions, peer-reviewed archives, and curated by historians.
- Community Memorials: Submitted directly by certified relatives or custodians, subjected to anti-defamation moderation, and clearly labeled.
3. Privacy & Next-of-Kin Precedence
We recognize that the memory of the deceased deeply impacts living relatives. If you are a direct heir, immediate next-of-kin, or legal executor who wishes to amend, correct, or remove a memorial, your request will be honored expeditiously without financial charge or bureaucratic barrier.
4. Virtual Candles & Guestbook Etiquette
Virtual candles and condolences are designed as gestures of quiet remembrance. Any spam, promotion, hateful commentary, harassment, or disparaging language posted to a guestbook will be permanently purged, and the contributor's IP address will be blocked.
5. Content Flagging & Dispute Resolution
