Biographical Record
Albert Einstein overturned Newtonian physics with his 1905 "Annus Mirabilis" papers, introducing special relativity, the photoelectric effect, and the famous equation E = mc². In 1915, he completed the General Theory of Relativity, describing gravity as the curvature of spacetime.
A lifelong pacifist and humanitarian, he championed internationalism, civil rights, and academic freedom until his passing at Princeton Hospital.
